The Sedona Y2K Task Force helped organize the first gathering of Y2K grassroot preparedness groups in Arizona. As far as we know, this was the first state-wide grassroots gathering in the United States. It took place Monday, February 15, 1999 in Camp Verde, Arizona, at the Camp Verde High School. Representatives from Flagstaff, Cottonwood, Cornville, Camp Verde, Sedona, Prescott, Tucson, Mesa, Tempe/Phoenix and Sierra Vista attended the all-day event. Approximately 70 people attended. Some of the conference attendees are pictured above.
